Comm 269 - Project 1 - My First Time
A soundboard audio production using my voicetrack, Depeche Mode - I Want You Now, The William Tell Overture from A Clockwork Orange, and a civil war cannon sound effect.
The project is loosely based on my own experience losing my virginity (emphasis on loosely), and is meant to highlight that sometimes, sex needs to be fun instead of the high pressure, overly emotional thing it's so often depicted as.
---- My grade - "B"

Comm 269 - Project 2 - Tim's Yellow Ribbons
A non-linear editting production using my narration, an interview with my dad, Tim McBride, clips from Tony Orlando - Tie a Yellow Ribbon, and two sources of wild noise.
This project was created with a definite and obvious message in mind. No matter what you think of the war and occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan, you should support our troops.

Comm 269 - Project 3 - American Values
This project was required to be exactly 59.5 seconds long and provide a message about an American value without attacking or being negative towards anyone or anything. For example, we were not allowed to discuss freedom of speech by attacking countries that repress that freedom. I chose to discuss how in times of crisis, Americans usually come together to do the right thing. The piece uses Yankee Doodle, a blending of Battle Hymn of the Republic and Dixie, and Fanfare for the Common Man to carry the listener through American history while telling its message.

Comm 269 - Project 4 - Why I Hate Baseball
This was our final project in the class. Four to six minutes on any topic we chose. I chose why I hate baseball because my professor is a huge baseball fan. Morever, he is a Cubs fan, and I felt if anyone could truly understand, it would be him. This proved to be one of my more involved pieces as it is loaded with sound FX and includes a clip from Steve Goodman's classic "A Dying Cubs Fan's Last Request".
