Club 7: More Than Alcohol - Making a Bar Work This project was a documentary. We were limited to a single location and just three minutes to get our message across. In this case, the message was almost ironic. The key to a successful bar has little to nothing to do with the availability of alcohol. Instead, it's about making the customers feel safe and giving the things to do. Produced by: Bret McBride

Support Jessica's Law This project was a 30 second political ad in support of Jessica's Law. The goal of the ad was to create a strong emotional response in favor of the law. It creates that effect via disturbing statistics as well as by making the image when those statistics brought up black and white. The purpose is to make supporting the law black and white and obvious rather than grey and controversial. Finally, word choice, ie. rapists rather than molesters, should ensure the strongest possible emotional, not cognitive, response in viewers.Produced by: Bret McBride
Goodbye This project was a short art piece. The piece conveys the feeling of loss and emptiness at the death of a lover. Throughout the piece, I use a flower as a metaphor for the human soul. This also proved to be fairly challenging in both the production, getting the shots lined up to do the effects, as well as in post production to create the various effects used throughout the piece.Produced by: Bret McBride
Featuring " Goodbye My Lover" by James Blunt.
Out of the Blue Marketing This project served as the introduction to Boise State's student advertising presentation at the AAF National Student Advertising Competition. I created the piece entirely in Photoshop and After Effects. The piece highlights our campaign's use of a red ribbon that represents Coca-Cola as a common thread the connects people.Produced by: Bret McBride
